Fusion Hockey is run by Lexington resident Kevin Lane, a USA Hockey Level 2 Certified Coach.  Kevin's passion for hockey started as a 9 year old after watching his cousin's youth hockey game in Medford.  Starting a little older than most kids, Kevin was a bit behind the curve. However, like a fish to water, Kevin took to the game quickly, becoming a premier youth, and high school player (Pope Francis/New Prep) before ultimately being recruited to play collegiately (Plattsburgh State).

Growing up in hockey crazy Boston, and a being a post Bobby Orr era baby, many of Kevin's peers, line-mates and teammates over the years went on to play in the NHL, as well as top European pro leagues.

As a player Kevin's best attributes were his skating, edge work, agility and slick hands.  Today, Kevin coaches youth programs and offers his years of elite skating and hockey lessons to players of all ages.

A firm believer is proper skating technique and edge work, Kevin instructs players on proper power skating form, so they can improve their skating skills and become elite skaters. The goal is to achieve maximum power with maximum efficiency.

Today's game is all about skating and puck possession.  To be elite in today's game a player must not only be able to make all the cuts, stops, turns and strides, but they must be able to do it all while possessing the puck.  We work on our players being able to do both, skate and possess the puck!

An avid sports fan, and die hard ice hockey player, Kevin is still actively involved in the game through coaching travel hockey and running skills clinics.

When not coaching, Kevin still actively laces up the skates, playing with friends and fellow coaches and works hard to keep his skills fresh to keep up with the kids !!
