About the Camp
Fusion Hockey’s Fall High School Skills & Tryout Prep Camp is supplemental training to players 1/2 season teams and it is specifically designed to help players stand out at tryouts and earn varsity ice time. This high-intensity program blends elite skills training with the HockeyIQ coaches want to see.

On-ice sessions focus on edgework, puck control, shooting, and structured gameplay with real-time feedback. Off the ice, players access short video lessons on positional play, team structure, and smart decision-making — the kind of HockeyIQ that earns a coach’s trust.​ Fusion delivers the tools, habits, and insight players need to make an impact from day one.

HockeyIQ
High school coaches prioritize HockeyIQ — the ability to read plays, understand structure, and make smart decisions. While many players have skill, most lack the game sense needed to earn a coach’s trust.

Fusion’s Fall Prep Camp closes that gap. We combine high-level skills training with off-ice video sessions that teach varsity-level concepts like positioning, structure, and situational awareness.
Players who show strong HockeyIQ stand out at tryouts and get more ice time during the season.
Skills Training
At Fusion Hockey, we focus heavily on edgework, multi-directional agility, and puck possession to help players make a bigger impact on the ice. Our drills train athletes to move efficiently in all directions, improving their balance, control, and ability to react under pressure.

The more comfortable players get on their edges, the faster and more confidently they play. This translates to quicker decisions, better puck protection, and more effective shifts. By combining elite movement with game-relevant puck work, we prepare players to play fast, stay poised, and stand out in high-pressure situations.
Positional Play
Fusion Hockey teaches players how to think the game, not just play it. We focus on positional responsibility, helping players understand where to be and why—on both sides of the puck.

Making the team is just the beginning. Coaches reward players who compete with discipline, awareness, and structure. High school teams may roster 23, but consistent ice time goes to the top three lines and top five defensemen.

Convenient Schedule
At Fusion Hockey, we understand the demands high school athletes face in the fall — from other sports commitments to club hockey schedules. That’s why we’ve designed our Fall High School Skills & Tryout Prep Camp to be as conflict-free as possible.

The vast majority of the sessions are held on Sunday evenings, a time that consistently works best for multi-sport athletes and players on half-season or split-season club teams. By avoiding weeknights and peak tournament weekends, we minimize overlap and make it easier for players to stay sharp on the ice without missing practices or games in their other fall commitments.
​
Our goal is to provide high-impact training without forcing athletes to choose between development and other responsibilities. Sunday evenings offer the perfect window to reset, refocus, and prepare for the week — all while building the skills and HockeyIQ that will pay off at high school tryouts.
